About Solomon Kalushi Mahlangu NYDA
The Solomon Kalushi Mahlangu Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Solomon Mahlangu, a young freedom fighter who was executed at the age of 23 under apartheid laws after being wrongfully accused of terrorism and murder.
The fund was created to support full-time students in pursuing studies in critical and scarce skills fields, helping young South Africans access opportunities that Mahlangu was denied.

Eligibility Requirements for NYDA Solomon Mahlangu Scholarship Fund Application 2026
To qualify, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria (failure to do so will result in disqualification):
- Be a South African citizen
- Be under 35 years old
- Have completed Matric
