About Africa Wetu Foundation Bursary Programme 2026/2027
AWF is inviting students to apply for its 2026 bursary programme.
Funding will be awarded for studies in the following fields at selected institutions:
- University of Cape Town (UCT): MSc in Computer Science / Information Systems
- University of the Western Cape (UWC): MSc in Computer Science / Information Systems
- Northlink College: Boilermaker (CBMT Phases 1–4) / Fitter & Turner – Occupational Program Boilermaker (CBMT Phases 1–4)
Expenses Covered & Selection
The bursary will cover tuition fees only.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a virtual interview. Final results will be communicated by 31 May 2026. If you have not received feedback by then, please consider your application unsuccessful.
Eligibility Requirements for Africa Wetu Foundation Bursary Application 2026/2027
To be considered, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be under 30 years old
- Be pursuing a Master’s degree (full-time) OR a Certificate of Competency – Vocational (full-time) in 2026
- Be studying towards your qualification level for the first time
- Be registered at one of the listed institutions
- Demonstrate financial need, based on household income
