Cape Town is set to come alive with music, culture, and unity as Cassper Nyovest and Mörda have officially been announced as the headline acts for the highly anticipated ComUnity Festival set to take place later this year.
The festival, now in its third edition, has quickly become one of the Mother City’s most vibrant celebrations of music and social connection. With this year’s theme focusing on inclusion, creativity, and local excellence, the announcement of two of South Africa’s most influential artists has sent waves of excitement through fans and the entertainment industry alike.
Cassper Nyovest, the award-winning rapper, entrepreneur, and music mogul, is expected to bring his high-energy performance and crowd-pleasing hits to the ComUnity stage. Known for chart-toppers like Tito Mboweni, Doc Shebeleza, and Siyathandana, Cassper’s presence promises a show to remember.
Joining him is Mörda—formerly one half of the renowned duo Black Motion—who has carved out a powerful solo career as a deep house innovator. With his electrifying sets and hypnotic beats, Mörda is set to deliver a soulful and immersive musical experience that speaks to both house heads and festivalgoers alike.
“We’re thrilled to have Cassper and Mörda leading this year’s lineup,” said ComUnity Festival director Zanele Mokoena. “Their artistry and impact go beyond music—they represent the essence of what ComUnity is about: bringing people together through shared culture, rhythm, and expression.”
The full festival lineup is expected to feature a diverse mix of local and international talent, food markets, art installations, and wellness spaces. Organizers have promised expanded venues, interactive experiences, and a stronger focus on sustainability and community upliftment.
Early-bird tickets are set to go on sale this Friday, with previous editions of the festival selling out quickly. Fans are encouraged to secure their spots early for what’s being dubbed Cape Town’s “must-attend music event of the year.”
With two of South Africa’s musical powerhouses headlining, the 2025 ComUnity Festival is poised to be bigger, bolder, and more unifying than ever.
