About ERWAT Bursary Programme 2026/2027

Eligibility Requirements ERWAT Bursary Application 2026/2027
Applicants must meet all of the following minimum requirements to be considered:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be between 18 and 26 years old
- Must have completed Matric
- Must be studying towards a degree qualification in one of the approved fields
- Must have completed their first year of study, or be currently in first year and writing exams
- Must be registered at a public university within Gauteng Province
- Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must show strong attention to detail
- Must not be receiving any other bursary funding
- Preference will be given to students residing within the Ekurhuleni Municipal Area
Failure to meet any of the above requirements will result in disqualification.
