About ERWAT Bursary Programme 2026/2027

Applicants must meet all of the following minimum requirements to be considered:

  • Must be between 18 and 26 years old
  • Must have completed Matric
  • Must be studying towards a degree qualification in one of the approved fields
  • Must have completed their first year of study, or be currently in first year and writing exams
  • Must be registered at a public university within Gauteng Province
  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must show strong attention to detail
  • Must not be receiving any other bursary funding
  • Preference will be given to students residing within the Ekurhuleni Municipal Area

Failure to meet any of the above requirements will result in disqualification.
