About UKZN College of Agriculture, Engineering and Science (CAES)
The University of KwaZulu-Natal was established in 2004 through the merger of the University of Natal and Durban-Westville, forming one of South Africa’s leading tertiary institutions. Eligibility Criteria for UKZN College of Agriculture Engineering and Science Bursary 2026/2027
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
Agriculture / Agricultural Management
- South African citizen
- Registered at UKZN for MSc in Agriculture or MSc in Agricultural Management
- Credit weighted average of at least 75% in Honours
Horticulture
- Registered for MSc or PhD in Horticulture
- Credit weighted average of at least 75% in previous degree
Engineering (Excluding Mechanical Engineering)
- UKZN engineering graduate
- Registered for MScEng (excluding Mechanical Engineering)
- Minimum 75% credit weighted average in BScEng
Mechanical Engineering
- Registered for MScEng or PhD in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 75% credit weighted average in previous degree
Preference is given to graduates from UKZN.
