About the Inscape Scholarship Programme 2026/2027
Inscape invites eligible students to apply for its 2026 academic year scholarship programme, specifically aimed at postgraduate studies in design.

Scholarship Coverage and Recipient Obligations

Teaching Assistant Requirement
During the 2026 academic year, scholarship recipients will be required to serve as teaching assistants for approximately 4 hours per week. While this role is not remunerated, performance and commitment form part of the scholarship conditions.
Post-Graduation Commitment
After completing their studies, successful scholars may be offered employment at Inscape. Recipients are required to either:
- Lecture in a programme they are qualified to facilitate, or
- Work in a relevant department at Inscape

Eligibility Requirements for Inscape Scholarship Application 2026/2027
Applicants must meet all of the following minimum requirements to be considered:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must intend to study at Inscape in 2026
- Must study full-time
- Must enrol for a BA Honours in Design (NQF Level 8)
- Must have completed an NQF Level 7 qualification in a relevant design discipline
- Must have achieved a minimum 60% average in the final year of undergraduate study
- Must demonstrate a strong academic record
- Must show commitment to a future academic or lecturing career
Failure to meet any of the above criteria will result in disqualification.
