Be a South African citizen or an international student
Have completed Matric and an undergraduate degree at any accredited institution

Completed the undergraduate degree within the minimum prescribed period
Intend to study full-time towards a first Postgraduate Diploma at UFS in 2026
Demonstrate strong academic ability

Applicants are NOT eligible if they:

Are pursuing an undergraduate degree or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
Are employed or receiving any other government bursary or scholarship
Are receiving the UFS Staff Study Benefit/Remission
Already hold a Postgraduate Diploma, Honours, or B Tech Degree
Are registered for the second year of a Postgraduate Diploma
Have received funding from the UFS Postgraduate School in previous years
