Eligibility Requirements for UFS Postgraduate Diploma Bursary Application 2026/2027
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen or an international student
- Have completed Matric and an undergraduate degree at any accredited institution
- Achieved a minimum average of 65% in undergraduate studies
- Completed the undergraduate degree within the minimum prescribed period
- Intend to study full-time towards a first Postgraduate Diploma at UFS in 2026
- Demonstrate strong academic ability
Applicants are NOT eligible if they:
- Are pursuing an undergraduate degree or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
- Are employed or receiving any other government bursary or scholarship
- Are receiving the UFS Staff Study Benefit/Remission
- Already hold a Postgraduate Diploma, Honours, or B Tech Degree
- Are registered for the second year of a Postgraduate Diploma
- Have received funding from the UFS Postgraduate School in previous years
