About the AECOM Bursary Programme 2026/2027
Fields Covered

AECOM invites eligible students to apply for the 2026 AECOM Bursary Programme. Funding is available for full-time studies in the following key fields:

What the AECOM Bursary Covers

Successful applicants will receive financial support valued at up to R100 000 per annum, which includes:

  • Prescribed textbooks

  • A laptop allowance (up to R8 000)
Bursary Renewal

The bursary is awarded one year at a time and may be renewed based on academic performance. Students must maintain a minimum average of 65% to qualify for renewal.

Service Contract

After graduating, bursary recipients are required to work at AECOM for one year of full-time employment for each year of bursary funding received.

Eligibility Requirements for AECOM Bursary

To qualify for the 2026 AECOM Bursary, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Must have completed Matric
  • Must be studying or intending to study full-time in one of the supported fields
  • Must be enrolled or accepted at a recognised South African tertiary institution
  • Must have achieved at least 75% in Matric
  • Must have at least 75% for Mathematics and Physical Science in Matric
  • If already studying, must have a minimum average of 65% at tertiary level
  • Must be highly motivated and committed to a career in the built environment
  • No work experience is required
