Types of AIMS Bursaries Available
1. Masters and Doctoral Studies at the AIMS Research Centre

- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be studying towards a postgraduate qualification in Mathematical Science

Masters Studies – Half Bursary Eligibility
- Must be an AIMS graduate
- Must intend to undertake Master’s studies at a recognised South African university
- The university must contribute an equivalent funding amount
- The university must waive the fee difference between international and local students
- Studies must begin in February of the upcoming academic year
- Student must commit to a maximum of 10 hours of tutoring per week
PhD Studies – Half Bursary Eligibility
- Must be an AIMS graduate
- Must intend to pursue PhD studies at a recognised South African university
- The university must contribute an equivalent funding amount
- Studies must begin within 8 months of completing the AIMS programme
