Omnia is inviting students to apply for their bursary programme for the 2026 academic year.

Bursaries will be awarded to students pursuing STEM-related qualifications at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Preferred fields of study include:

What The Bursary Covers

The Omnia bursary provides support for:

Eligibility Requirements for Omnia Bursary Application 2026/2027

Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must be currently in Matric (2023) or have already completed Matric
  • Must have passed Mathematics (not Maths Literacy) and Physical Science in Matric
  • Must be studying or planning to study full-time in a STEM-related field (preferably one of the fields listed above)
  • Must be pursuing an Advanced Diploma, BTech, Degree, Honours, Masters, or PhD in 2026
    (Note: Diplomas and Higher Certificates are NOT funded)
  • Must be pursuing the qualification level for the first time (not repeating)
  • Must have a minimum overall average of 65%
  • Must be studying or intend on studying at a public tertiary institution registered with DHET and SAQA (universities, community colleges, or TVETs)
How to Apply for Omnia Bursary 2026/2027

When applying, students must upload the following supporting documents (all certified within the last 3 months):

  • ID document (certified copy)
  • Current Matric students: Grade 11 final results and Matric Term 2 report (school stamped)
  • Gap year students: Grade 11 results (stamped) and Matric certificate (certified copy)
  • Current tertiary students: proof of 2023 registration and latest official transcripts (certified copy)
  • Proof of acceptance or provisional acceptance for 2026
  • A one-page motivational statement explaining your chosen field of study and career goals
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Students under 18: signed consent form by parent/guardian (POPI compliance)
  • Parent/guardian ID documents or death certificates (certified copies)
  • Employment Equity Act (EEA1) form and doctor’s letter (if disabled)
  • Bursary agreement/letter if receiving another bursary or NSFAS funding
