Eligibility Criteria for Sage Bursary Application 2026/2027
Who Can Apply?
To qualify for the Sage Bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen

- Current university students: must have a minimum 65% average
- Students with disabilities: may apply for any field at undergraduate or postgraduate level
- Have a total household income between R350,000 and R500,000 per year
(If your income is less than R350,000, you should have applied for NSFAS – if your NSFAS application was unsuccessful, you may still qualify for this bursary)
