To qualify for the UCT Information Systems Bursary 2026, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen or permanent resident
- Must have applied or be enrolled full-time for a BCom Honours or 4th Year B.Bus.Sci in Information Systems at UCT
- Must have achieved a minimum overall average of 65% for third-year Information Systems or Computer Science courses
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must not be employed full-time
- Preference will be given to Black (African, Coloured, or Indian) candidates
- Preference will also be given to students qualifying for:
- National Means Test (family income below R350,000 per year), or
- GAP Tuition Bursary (family income between R350,000 and R600,000 per year)
