Boston Media House and YFM are offering two Awards of Excellence (scholarships) for the 2026 academic year, available for study at the Sandton campus:
- Media Practices Scholarship: Diploma in Media Practices (3 years full-time) worth R180 000
- Soul Candi Scholarship: Short course in digital composition & production worth R30 000

Selection Process
- Diploma in Media Practices Scholarship:

- YFM producers select the Top 10 candidates based on matric results and radio link submissions.
- A judging panel from YFM & Boston Media House selects the winner, announced on 8 February 2026 on YFM’s The Lady on Drive with Khutso Theledi (15:00–18:00).
- Soul Candi Scholarship:
- YFM producers select the Top 3 music mixes.
- Boston Media House judges choose the winner, announced on 11 February 2026 on YFM’s YTKO DJ Candii show (18:00–19:00).
Eligibility Requirements for Boston Media House and YFM Scholarship Application 2026/2027
To apply, you must:
- Have completed Matric
- Be interested in studying towards a Media or Music qualification
- Intend to study at Boston Media House, Sandton in 2026
- Have a strong academic record
- NOT be: a director/employee of Yired (Pty) Ltd, YFM, Boston Media House, their agencies, or an immediate family member of one

Terms & Conditions
- By applying, you consent to YFM sharing your info with Boston Media House.
- Competition runs from 18 January – 6 February 2026 on YFM.
- Scholarships are not transferable or redeemable for cash.
- If you fail a module, you must repeat at your own cost.
- The award will be confirmed after submitting your Award of Excellence letter and ID/Driver’s License at registration.
