Founded in 2017, FAME Academy SA is the first School of Creative Arts in Limpopo province and a trailblazer in South Africa. The Academy offers accredited higher education programmes and has plans to expand to major cities across the country, including Cape Town, Johannesburg, Bloemfontein, Port Elizabeth, Durban, and more.

About FAME Academy SA Bursaries Programmes 2026/2027

Fields Covered & Value

For the 2026 academic year, FAME Academy SA will award bursaries in the following fields:

• Performing Arts (Children, 4–16 years old): Acting, Drama, Dance, Singing, Theatre, Choreography, Instrument Specialist, Modelling, Deejaying (2 bursaries)
• Performing Arts (Adults, 18–35 years old): Acting, Drama, Dance, Singing, Theatre, Choreography, Instrument Specialist, Modelling, Deejaying (2 bursaries)
• Fashion Design: 2 bursaries
• TV Production & Presenting: 2 bursaries
• Radio Production & Presenting: 2 bursaries

Each bursary is valued at R37 000.

• Performing Arts & Fashion Design: covers 1 year full-time study
• Radio & TV Production: covers 18 months of study

Eligibility Requirements for FAME Academy SA Bursaries Application 2026/2027

To qualify, applicants must:

• Speak any of the 11 official South African languages
• Hold a Matric certificate
• Be in the correct age group:
• • Performing Arts (Children): 4–16 years old
  • Performing Arts (Adults), Fashion Design, TV/Radio Production: 18–35 years old

• Begin studies at FAME Academy SA in 2026

How To Apply for FAME Academy SA Bursaries 2026/2027

Applicants must submit an audition video related to their chosen field of study.

Steps to follow:

1. Introduce yourself. State your name, age, and where you’re from.
2. Keep the video to a maximum of 1 minute.
3. Upload your video to Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
4. Use the hashtags: #fameacademysabursaryauditions and #creatingtomorrowslegends.

You may sing your favourite song, imitate your favourite artist, or showcase your talent in acting, dancing, modelling, choreography, deejaying, or instrument playing.

Important:

• Auditions are online only. Emailed applications will not be accepted.
• Videos will be reviewed by the Academy team, and winners will be announced on 23 September 2026 via social media.
