About Canon Collins & Tom Queba Memorial Fund
The Canon Collins Trust has been awarding scholarships since 1981, supporting over 4 000 students from 14 southern African countries. Today, the Trust offers opportunities for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies in South Africa, the UK, Ireland, and Malawi.
The Tom Queba Memorial Fund was established in memory of Tom Queba, a leader in the George taxi industry who passed away in 2014. He was passionate about improving public transport and uplifting the minibus taxi industry. To honour his legacy, the Tom Queba Engineering Scholarship for Social Change was created.

Canon Collins Trust, in partnership with the Tom Queba Memorial Fund and Pegasys, invites applications for the 2026 academic year.
Scholarships are available for Honours and Masters studies in fields that promote social change, including:

Scholarship Value & Selection Process
- Scholarships are valued at R85 000 per year and may be awarded for a maximum of 2 years.

- Be willing to attend the annual conference and related events
