About Katapult Business School Bursaries
Fields Covered & Coverage Value
Katapult Business School offers three types of bursaries to support students pursuing a Bachelor of Marketing Management (Business Administration) (NQF Level 7) degree. These bursaries are available for first-year students and may be renewed for second and third year based on strong academic performance.
For First-Year Students:
- Category 1 (Full Bursary): Covers tuition and exam fees worth R68 000. Students are responsible for registration fees, textbooks, and any additional study costs.
- Category 2 (Half Bursary): Covers 50% of tuition and exam fees worth R34 000. Students must pay the remaining tuition, exam fees, and other study costs.
- Category 3 (Partial Bursary): Covers 12.5% of tuition and exam fees worth R8 500. Students cover the remaining 87.5% plus registration, textbooks, and other costs.
For Second and Third-Year Students:
- Category 1 (Full Bursary): Covers tuition and exam fees. Students pay registration, textbooks, and other study costs.
- Category 2 (Half Bursary): Covers 50% of tuition and exam fees. Students pay the remaining 50% plus registration, textbooks, and other costs.
Eligibility Requirements for Katapult Business School Bursaries Application 2026/2027
For First-Year Students:

Category 1: Minimum 80% overall average in Matric, plus:
- At least 75% in Mathematics/Accounting and English First Language, OR
- At least 80% in English First Language and English Second Language.

Category 2: Minimum 70% overall average in Matric, plus:
- At least 65% in Mathematics/Accounting and English First Language, OR
- At least 70% in English First Language and English Second Language.

Category 3: Minimum 60% overall average in Matric, plus:
- At least 60% in Mathematics/Accounting and English First Language, OR
- At least 65% in English First Language and English Second Language.
For Second and Third-Year Students:
- Category 1: Minimum 85% overall average in the previous year of study, with at least 80% in all modules.
- Category 2: Minimum 80% overall average in the previous year of study, with at least 75% in all modules.
Preference is given to students from previously disadvantaged backgrounds and those with significant financial need.
