FEDISA (Pty) Ltd is a private higher education institution, registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training in South Africa.

It is a leading fashion school that offers three qualifications:

Fields Covered and Value

FEDISA Fashion School is inviting students to apply for its Future Vision Bursary for the 2026 academic year.

  • 2 undergraduate bursaries will be awarded, each valued at R50 000.
  • Bursaries are available for studies at either the Cape Town or Sandton campus.
  • The bursary only covers part of tuition fees. Students will be responsible for additional costs such as registration fees, books, kits, consumables, accommodation, transport, and living expenses.

The bursary covers the following qualifications:

  1. Diploma in Fashion Merchandising, Marketing and Media
    • NQF Level 6 | 360 credits | 3 years full-time
    • Core courses: Fashion Buying & Sourcing, Fashion Theory, Visual Merchandising, Marketing & Media, Fashion Retail Management.
  2. Bachelor of Arts in Fashion
    • NQF Level 7 | 360 credits | 3 years full-time
    • Core courses: Clothing Technology, Lifestyle Studies, Visual Studies, Business Studies.
    • Combines practical and theoretical learning with weekly rotations and a 3-week practical cycle.
More About the Bursary – Selection Process
  • 2 winners will be chosen (1 in Cape Town and 1 in Sandton).
  • Winners will be announced on 30 September 2026 via telephone, email, and social media.
  • Winners must claim their bursary within 7 working days, otherwise a runner-up will be selected.
  • The prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Winning entries will be displayed on FEDISA campuses and social media.
  • Applicants must read and agree to the FEDISA Bursary Terms & Conditions before applying.
Eligibility Requirements for FEDISA Fashion School Bursary Application 2026/2027

Applicants must:

  • Be a South African citizen and resident
  • Have completed Matric OR be in Matric currently
  • Have achieved/ be on track to achieve a Bachelor pass or Diploma pass in Matric
  • Be passionate about a career in fashion (e.g. designer, buyer, stylist, editor)
  • Meet FEDISA’s entry requirements for either the BA in Fashion or the Diploma in Fashion Merchandising, Marketing and Media
  • Be fluent in English (all courses are taught in English)
How to Apply for FEDISA Fashion School Bursary Application 2026/2027

Applicants must also create a “runway look” as part of their application.

Runway look guidelines:

  • Must be your own original work
  • Style a FEDISA “Future Vision” model from head to toe (hair, make-up, outfit, accessories, shoes)
  • Budget may not exceed R500 (submit receipts as proof)
  • Use any materials or techniques (recycle, upcycle, innovate)
  • Submit garments and accessories carefully packaged
Required Supporting Documents

Submit certified copies of the following with your application:

  • ID document
  • Grade 11 final results (if currently in Matric) OR Matric certificate (if completed)
  • Receipts & breakdown of costs for your runway look
  • Photos of your look (front, back, side + 3 close-up shots)
  • A written description (max 500 words) explaining your concept, process, inspiration, and materials used
  • A motivational letter (max 500 words) explaining why you want to study at FEDISA and why you deserve the bursary
  • The garments and accessories used in your look (packaged safely)
