Please note:
The scholarship does not cover transport costs at the beginning or end of the scholarship period.
Successful candidates will be required to enter into a binding agreement with SANBI and will be based at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden in Cape Town for the full duration of the programme.
Selection Process & Notification
SANBI reserves the right not to award the scholarship. Successful applicants will be notified on or before 30 November. If you do not receive feedback within 30 days after the closing date, please consider your application unsuccessful.

- Must have completed a Diploma in Horticulture (NQF Level 6)
- Must intend to study towards an Advanced Diploma in Horticulture in 2026
