Eligibility Requirements for Kumba Iron Ore Bursary Application 2026/2027
Applicants must meet these minimum requirements:
- Be studying (or planning to study) towards an undergraduate degree in one of the listed fields.
- Be entering 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year of study in 2026.
- Be registered or provisionally accepted at a recognised and accredited South African university.
- Have a strong academic record.
- Be willing and able to complete vacation work in the Northern Cape during university holidays.
- Have a valid Code B Driver’s License, or obtain one during the bursary period.
- Gain operational mining experience during vacation work.
Preference Will Be Given To:
- Students from Northern Cape communities near Kumba operations.
- Candidates originating from the Northern Cape.
- Differently abled students.
