Fields Covered
The foundation is offering bursary opportunities for the 2026 academic year to students from the North West Province. Funding is available for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies in the fields of Performing Arts and Visual Arts.
Expenses Covered
The Mmabana bursary will cover the following:

Eligibility Requirements for Mmabana Arts, Culture and Sports Foundation Bursary Application 2026/2027
To apply, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Be a resident of the North West Province.
- Be studying or planning to study towards an Undergraduate or Postgraduate qualification in Performing Arts or Visual Arts.
- Be accepted or registered at an accredited institution in South Africa.
- Not be receiving NSFAS funding.
- Not be an employee of the Mmabana Arts, Culture and Sports Foundation or a government employee.

- Full academic transcript/record (if not a 1st-year student)

- Institution’s banking details
- Proof of income (3 recent payslips of parent/guardian or applicant, if employed)
- Proof of financial need (affidavit and motivational letter, if applicable)
- Proof of residence in the North West Province
