What the SANRAL Bursary Covers

Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria to apply:
- Must be a South African citizen under the age of 35
- Must be in Matric in 2025 or have already completed Matric
- Must be entering 1st year of undergraduate studies in 2026
- Must plan to study full-time (no part-time or distance learning)
- Must be accepted at a public tertiary institution in South Africa (private institutions are excluded)
- Matric students must achieve a minimum average of 70%
- Must show proven financial need
- Must not already be receiving another bursary
