The bursary amount depends on your year of study:

- Scored at least 80% in Mathematics, or a minimum Applicant Score (AS) of 420
- Admitted to study BCom Accounting or BCom Accounting Sciences at NMU full-time in 2026
- Preference given to students in financial need (household income between R350,000 – R600,000 per year – i.e., the “missing middle”)
2nd & 3rd Year Applicants:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Currently studying full-time toward one of the qualifying Accounting programmes at NMU
- Must achieve:
- Minimum 70% average for first-year modules (if in 2nd year)
- Minimum 65% average for second-year modules (if in 3rd year)
- Must provide evidence of social/community involvement in 2024
- Preference given to students in financial need (R350k – R600k household income range)
Postgraduate Applicants:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Enrolled in full-time postgraduate Accounting studies at NMU in 2026
- Must be pursuing:
- PGDA-CTA
