Bursary Coverage & Service Contract

- Selected applicants will attend an interview at the Transnet Academy (Johannesburg, Bloemfontein, Cape Town, or Durban).
- A medical fitness assessment and satisfactory academic results are required before final selection.
Eligibility Requirements for Transnet Bursary Application 2026/2027
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be under 25 years old
- Must have completed Matric or be currently in Matric
- Must intend to study full-time in 2026 towards one of the listed qualifications
- Must be accepted or registered at a recognised South African tertiary institution
- Must be a top-performing student
- Minimum achievement: 60% (Level 5) in English and relevant Matric subjects
- Strong written, communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and computer skills
- Ability to work well in a team and show eagerness to learn
- Preference will be given to students from designated groups in line with Transnet’s Employment Equity Plan
