Eligibility Requirements for Naspers Bursary Application 2026/2027

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be in Matric, OR have completed Matric
  • Must be studying or intending to study towards a qualification in STEM, Commerce, or Business Sciences
  • Must be accepted or registered at a recognised South African university
  • Total household income must be less than R650 000 per year

Matric students applying for 1st year studies:

  • At least 60% for Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy) in Grade 11 final results
  • Minimum 65% overall average in Grade 11 final results
  • Minimum 65% overall average in Matric June exams

1st year students applying for 2nd year studies:

  • Must be studying full-time
  • At least 65% overall average in June exams and final results

3rd year students applying for Honours studies:

  • Minimum 68% overall average in June/mid-year results and final results
  • Must be on track for acceptance into Honours
