- Must be accepted or registered at a recognised South African university
- Total household income must be less than R650 000 per year
Matric students applying for 1st year studies:
- At least 60% for Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy) in Grade 11 final results
- Minimum 65% overall average in Grade 11 final results
- Minimum 65% overall average in Matric June exams
1st year students applying for 2nd year studies:
- Must be studying full-time
- At least 65% overall average in June exams and final results
3rd year students applying for Honours studies:
- Minimum 68% overall average in June/mid-year results and final results
- Must be on track for acceptance into Honours
