The Elsenburg Agricultural Training Institute (EATI), founded in 1898, is South Africa’s first agricultural college. Additional Information

Bursary recipients may not receive more than one bursary with service obligations. The funding is intended to provide students with full financial support to pursue their agricultural studies without duplication of bursary benefits.

Eligibility Requirements for Elsenburg Agricultural Training Institute Bursary Application 2026/2027

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must be studying or intending to study at EATI in one of the approved programmes
  • Must meet EATI’s minimum admission requirements for the selected programme
  • Preference is given to previously disadvantaged students, including:

    • Applicants with disabilities
    • Applicants with demonstrated financial need
