More About The KZN Department Of Transport Bursary (Expenses Covered, Obligation & Selection)
The bursary covers the following expenses: tuition fees, accommodation, meals, and prescribed textbooks (where necessary).
After graduation, recipients will be required to work for the Department of Transport for the same number of years as their bursary funding (subject to available vacancies).

Eligibility Requirements for KwaZulu-Natal Department of Transport Bursary Application 2026/2027
Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria before applying (failure to meet all will result in disqualification):
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must permanently reside in KwaZulu-Natal
- Must be between 18 and 35 years old
- Must be in Matric or have completed Matric
- Must be studying or intending to study full-time in one of the listed fields
- Must be studying at, or accepted/provisionally accepted to, a public higher education institution in South Africa
- Preference will be given to students studying in institutions within KwaZulu-Natal
- Students with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply
